Hello everyone! Today, I'm excited to share my travel experience from a weekend getaway to Gapyeong with my boyfriend. After being swamped with work, I suddenly felt the urge to heal in nature and hastily booked this trip, which turned out to be beyond my expectations! The 'Gapyeong Nami Island Grand Narang Spa & Pool Villa' where we stayed offered the most spectacular views I've ever experienced. As a UX designer sensitive to spatial experiences and design, I was truly impressed by this place. So, let me start my Gapyeong travel diary!

🏨 가평 남이섬그랑나랑스파&풀빌라, 첫인상부터 남다른 숙소

🏨 Gapyeong Nami Island Grand Narang Spa & Pool Villa, A Hotel with an Extraordinary First Impression

가평 강현면 남이섬길에 위치한 가평 남이섬그랑나랑스파&풀빌라는 남이섬에서 불과 5분 거리에 있는 프리미엄 풀빌라예요. 차에서 내리자마자 보이는 웅장한 외관에 첫눈에 반했답니다. 현대적인 디자인의 건물이 자연과 조화롭게 어우러진 모습이 정말 인상적이었어요.

Located on Nami Island-gil in Gapyeong, the Gapyeong Nami Island Grand Narang Spa & Pool Villa is a premium pool villa just 5 minutes away from Nami Island. I fell in love at first sight with the magnificent exterior that appeared as soon as I got out of the car. The modern design of the building harmoniously blending with nature was truly impressive.

키오스크로 셀프 체크인을 하는 시스템이라 번거로운 절차 없이 빠르게 입실할 수 있었어요. 요즘 무인 시스템이 많아지고 있지만, 이곳은 정말 편리하게 잘 되어 있더라고요. UX 디자이너로서 이런 부분은 특히 눈여겨보게 되는데, 사용자 경험을 정말 잘 고려한 시스템이었습니다.

With a self-check-in system using kiosks, we were able to quickly enter our room without any cumbersome procedures. While unmanned systems are becoming more common these days, this place was particularly well-designed for convenience. As a UX designer, I tend to pay special attention to these aspects, and this system truly considered the user experience well.

🛏️ 프라이빗 풀빌라, 자연을 품은 공간

🛏️ Private Pool Villa, A Space Embracing Nature

우리가 묵은 객실은 독채 풀빌라였어요. 문을 열자마자 탁 트인 창문으로 보이는 푸른 산과 남이섬 전경에 감탄이 절로 나왔답니다. 화이트 톤의 깔끔한 인테리어와 모던한 가구들, 그리고 벽에 걸린 추상화 작품까지, 모든 것이 조화롭게 어우러져 있었어요.

We stayed in a private pool villa. As soon as I opened the door, I was amazed by the green mountains and the view of Nami Island visible through the wide windows. The clean white interior, modern furniture, and abstract paintings on the walls all harmoniously blended together.

특히 침대에서 바로 보이는 전망은 정말 최고였어요. 아침에 눈을 뜨자마자 보이는 풍경은 말로 표현할 수 없을 정도로 아름다웠답니다. 침구류도 폭신폭신해서 깊은 잠을 잘 수 있었고요.

The view directly visible from the bed was truly the best. The scenery I saw as soon as I opened my eyes in the morning was indescribably beautiful. The bedding was also fluffy, allowing for a deep sleep.

객실은 침실과 거실이 분리된 구조로, 넓은 소파와 테이블이 있어 편안하게 휴식을 취할 수 있었어요. 또한 미니 주방도 갖추고 있어서 간단한 음식도 준비할 수 있었답니다.

The room had a structure where the bedroom and living room were separated, with a spacious sofa and table allowing for comfortable relaxation. It also had a mini kitchen, so we could prepare simple meals.

이 풀빌라의 하이라이트는 단연 프라이빗 스파와 수영장이었어요! 객실 테라스에 위치한 이 수영장은 마치 자연과 하나가 된 듯한 환상적인 경험을 선사했답니다. 푸른 하늘과 산이 수영장과 맞닿아 있는 모습은 정말 장관이었어요.

The highlight of this pool villa was definitely the private spa and swimming pool! Located on the room terrace, this pool offered a fantastic experience as if becoming one with nature. The blue sky and mountains touching the pool was truly a spectacular sight.

특히 해질 무렵의 풍경은 말로 표현할 수 없을 정도로 아름다웠답니다. 물론 사진으로 담아봤지만, 실제 눈으로 보는 것과는 비교할 수 없었어요. 남자친구와 함께 수영장에서 석양을 바라보며 보낸 시간은 이번 여행의 가장 로맨틱한 순간이었답니다.

The scenery at sunset was indescribably beautiful. Of course, I tried to capture it in photos, but it couldn't compare to seeing it with my own eyes. The time spent with my boyfriend looking at the sunset from the pool was the most romantic moment of this trip.

스파도 정말 좋았어요. 따뜻한 물에 몸을 담그고 있으니 그동안의 피로가 싹 풀리는 느낌이었답니다. 특히 밤에 별을 보며 즐기는 스파는 정말 잊을 수 없는 경험이었어요.

The spa was also really nice. Soaking in warm water made me feel like all my fatigue was melting away. Especially enjoying the spa while looking at the stars at night was an unforgettable experience.

🏃‍♀️ 아침 산책으로 시작하는 상쾌한 하루

🏃‍♀️ A Refreshing Day Starting with a Morning Walk

최근에 남자친구와 함께 조깅을 시작했다고 했죠? 여행 중에도 우리의 운동 루틴은 계속되었어요. 아침 일찍 일어나 풀빌라 주변 산책로를 따라 걷는 코스를 선택했답니다.

I mentioned that I recently started jogging with my boyfriend, right? Our exercise routine continued during the trip. We woke up early in the morning and chose a course walking along the trails around the pool villa.

풀빌라에서 나와 바로 산책로로 향했어요. 발 아래로 느껴지는 흙의 감촉과 귓가를 스치는 새소리, 그리고 상쾌한 자연의 내음까지! 도시에서는 절대 경험할 수 없는 특별한 산책이었어요.

We left the pool villa and headed straight for the walking trail. The feeling of soil beneath our feet, the sound of birds brushing past our ears, and the refreshing scent of nature! It was a special walk that could never be experienced in the city.

특히 추천하고 싶은 코스는 풀빌라에서 남이섬 입구까지의 구간이에요. 약 3km 정도 되는 이 코스는 중간중간 아름다운 풍경이 펼쳐져 지루할 틈이 없답니다. 산책을 좋아하시는 분들이라면 꼭 한번 도전해보세요!

A course I particularly want to recommend is the section from the pool villa to the entrance of Nami Island. This approximately 3km course has beautiful scenery unfolding at various points, leaving no room for boredom. If you enjoy walking, I definitely recommend trying it!

🏛️ 남이섬, 자연과 문화의 조화

🏛️ Nami Island, Harmony of Nature and Culture

풀빌라에서 가까운 남이섬도 방문했어요. 북한강 가운데 위치한 남이섬은 그 위치만으로도 특별한 곳이었어요. 특히 메타세쿼이아 길에서 바라본 풍경은 말로 표현할 수 없을 정도로 아름다웠답니다.

We also visited Nami Island, which is close to the pool villa. Located in the middle of the Bukhan River, Nami Island was a special place just for its location. Especially the scenery viewed from the Metasequoia path was indescribably beautiful.

섬 내부의 고즈넉한 분위기와 자연의 아름다움이 공존하는 이곳은 마음의 평화를 찾기에 최적의 장소였어요. 남자친구와 함께 천천히 산책하며 보낸 시간이 정말 소중하게 느껴졌답니다.

This place, where the quiet atmosphere of the island and the beauty of nature coexist, was the optimal place to find peace of mind. The time spent slowly walking with my boyfriend felt truly precious.

남이섬에는 다양한 문화 공간과 예술 작품들도 있어서 볼거리가 풍부했어요. 특히 '겨울연가' 촬영지로 유명한 장소들을 둘러보는 것도 재미있었답니다.

Nami Island also had various cultural spaces and artworks, providing plenty to see. It was especially fun to look around the places famous as filming locations for 'Winter Sonata'.

🌊 마지막 날, 아쉬움을 담은 체크아웃

🌊 Last Day, Check-out Filled with Regret

2박 3일의 짧은 여행이 끝나고 체크아웃을 하는 순간, 정말 아쉬움이 컸어요. 특히 객실에서 바라본 전망과 프라이빗 스파와 수영장에서의 경험은 오래도록 기억에 남을 것 같아요.

As our short 2-night, 3-day trip ended and we checked out, I felt a great sense of regret. Especially the view from the room and the experience in the private spa and swimming pool will remain in my memory for a long time.

체크아웃도 키오스크로 간편하게 할 수 있어서 좋았어요. 마지막으로 로비에서 기념사진을 찍고 아쉬운 마음을 뒤로한 채 서울로 돌아왔답니다.

It was nice that we could easily check out using the kiosk. Finally, we took a commemorative photo in the lobby and returned to Seoul, leaving behind feelings of regret.

This Gapyeong trip was truly beyond my expectations. Especially the Gapyeong Nami Island Grand Narang Spa & Pool Villa was satisfactory in all aspects of facilities, location, and service. From the private spa and swimming pool to the clean and modern room, and even the convenient unmanned system!
